Privacy Policy

The short version

Electronics Toolbox does not gather, store, or sell your personal information. Every calculator executes entirely inside your browser — your inputs are never transmitted to a server. You can use this site anonymously with no account, no email, and no identifying information required.

What we do not collect

  • Calculator inputs (resistance values, voltages, frequencies, component parameters, etc.)
  • Names, email addresses, or passwords
  • Payment details (all tools are free)
  • Device identifiers or browser fingerprints

All math runs client-side in JavaScript. Nothing you type into a calculator is ever sent over the network.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a cookie-free, privacy-respecting analytics tool. Plausible does not track individual users across sessions or sites, stores no IP addresses, and only reports aggregate metrics like page views, traffic sources, and country-level geography. It is GDPR, CCPA, and PECR compliant by design — no consent banner needed.

Cookies & local storage

Electronics Toolbox sets no cookies. Your light/dark theme preference is stored in localStorage under the key theme. That value lives only on your device and is never shared with any server or third party.

Third-party services

The site runs on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's infrastructure may log transient request metadata (IP address, user-agent, requested path) as part of normal operations. That data is governed by Vercel's own privacy policy.

There are no ad networks, social media pixels, or retargeting scripts on this site.

Children

Electronics Toolbox is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Policy updates

If a future feature changes how data is handled, this page will be updated with a revised effective date. Since we hold no email addresses, direct notification isn't possible — bookmark this page if you want to stay informed.
